Description of the Goldilocks tomato variety and its characteristics

Tomatoes have long been a favorite berry for preparing winter preparations, canning and fresh consumption. The Goldilocks tomato took pride of place in vegetable growers' beds and on festive tables. The work of Czech breeders found their fans not only in their homeland, but also in different regions of Russia.

General information about the variety

The tomato has become a type of cherry tomato. The plant bears fruit stably in greenhouse conditions and in the open field.

Characteristics and description of the variety:

  • early maturing, the maximum period before the appearance of fruits is 95 days;
  • indeterminate, has unlimited growth;
  • high yield, for the summer season from 1 sq. meters of planting, up to 3.5 kg of berries are harvested;
  • tall, the height of the bush does not exceed 1.5-2 meters in greenhouse conditions;
  • average foliage of the bush;
  • simple inflorescence;
  • resistant to major diseases of the nightshade family;
  • stalk with articulation;
  • good berry setting;
  • good transportability and long-term storage.

Goldilocks Tomatoes

The tomato is in demand among gardeners in different regions of Russia. In regions with cold summers, tomato cultivation is provided only in greenhouse conditions.

External and technical data of fruits:

  • average density;
  • rounded shape;
  • smooth;
  • matured in golden yellow or reddish color;
  • small, with a maximum weight of 100 grams;
  • thin skin;
  • resistant to cracking;
  • sweet taste with sourness;
  • fragrant;
  • juicy.

Ripe tomatoes will be an excellent addition to the festive table, suitable for making tartlets or decorating dishes. Goldilocks tomatoes are suitable for canning as a whole, drying, pickling, fresh consumption.

The plant prefers a seedling method of planting. Preparatory work is recommended to begin 60-65 days before the expected landing date. To get healthy tomato bushes you should:

  • prepare separate containers with complex soil for tomatoes;
  • plant seeds to a depth of 1-2 cm;
  • cover containers with foil;
  • maintain a constant air temperature in the room at least 21 degrees;
  • after the first shoots appear, on the 4th-5th day, move the seedlings to the windowsill. A constant light source must be provided;
  • regular watering;
  • pick after the appearance of the first two sheets.

IMPORTANT! Experienced vegetable growers recommend forming a bush of 2-3 stems for a better harvest.

Growing hybrids

Start hardening 7-10 days before planting. Take the plant outside. It is necessary to observe the hardening regime, starting from 20 minutes to 2 hours outdoors. For 1 sq. meter of land is not advised to place more than 4 bushes of tomatoes.They are unpretentious in care, the mandatory activities include:

  • watering with warm water in the evening or morning hours, as needed;
  • regular loosening and weeding;
  • feeding, at least four times during the summer;
  • compulsory pinching;
  • garter and support.
