Alesi tomato is an early ripening variety characterized by amicable ripening of fruits, large yields, and tomatoes of this variety have excellent taste. What else makes this tomato stand out among others? And how much better is it than other similar early maturing varieties?

Description and characteristics

Alesi f1 bred by breeders from France. From the moment the first shoots appear until the harvest of Alesi, it takes about 3.5 months, which allows us to call this variety early.

These tomatoes belong to the first generation hybrids of the indeterminate type. The bushes are of medium vigor, so they usually reach 1.5-1.6 in height, internodes are less than average. Shoots - strong enough, medium leafy. The foliage is medium in size, slightly pointed at the ends, typically tomato, rich green.

You can get two harvests from the bushes per season, most often this happens when Alesi is grown in greenhouse conditions (to protect the bushes from a possible cold snap). The main features of the variety: amicable ripening of tomatoes and good fruit set at a sufficiently high ambient temperature, therefore, there is a possibility after harvesting the formation of new shoots with ovaries.

early ripe variety

To get large, fleshy fruits weighing up to 250-300 g, the bushes are formed into one stem. And if vegetable growers strive to get more fruits weighing up to 200 g, then this hybrid is formed in several stems. The first fruits that form on the lower clusters are larger in size and weight than those that ripen above.

Let's start the description of fruits with characteristics. The knotted inflorescences are simple, usually collected in clusters of 7-8 pieces. Usually, the fruits are flat - rounded with noticeable ribs near the stalk, medium in size, the mass of mature tomatoes reaches 160-190 g. The color of ripe tomatoes is rich red, there are no spots and blotches of another color. The pulp is fleshy, tasty. The cut shows that in each fruit there are 3-4 chambers with seed. The skin is firm but soft, not prone to cracking. The yield of the variety is high - up to 8-9 kg of ripe tomatoes from 1 m2.

strong shoots

Characteristics of transportability: due to a fairly thick skin, ripe fruits perfectly tolerate transportation, and also have good keeping quality.

Pros and cons of the variety

The obvious advantages of the hybrid include:

ripe fruits

  • high productivity;
  • early maturation;
  • the possibility of obtaining two harvests per season;
  • high resistance to major diseases;
  • amicable ripening of the crop.

early maturation

But the variety also has minor disadvantages:

  • the need to tie up shoots;
  • obligatory formation of bushes.

After reading the reviews of vegetable growers, it should be noted that the Alesi hybrid is grown in the main territory of our country in greenhouse conditions, but in warm regions it is suitable for growing in open ground.
