  • anti-wrinkle - with egg yolk and banana puree, keep for 40 minutes and rinse with warm water;

A simple anti-pigmentation remedy is viburnum juice. It is applied with a cotton swab to the problem area, and after 10 minutes it is washed off. With regular use, the skin brightens.

How to collect berries and save

Viburnum fruits are harvested after the first frost, when they become sweet. The bunches are plucked or cut off entirely. The peel of the berries does not break as long as they are kept on the stalks. But if you pick the berries one at a time, the skin bursts and juice flows out. The collected berries are hung in bunches in the attic or dried in a dryer at a temperature of 70 degrees. Drying is separated from the stalks and added to black tea.

There are also ways to preserve and prepare deliciously fresh viburnum.

Freezing

Before freezing, whole berries are not washed, but only freed from cuttings. Excessive moisture leads to mold formation. The fruits are laid out on a flat plate in one layer and placed in the freezer. An hour later, the berries are taken out, packed in vacuum bags and put into the freezer. A large volume is best divided into small portions and folded into separate small boxes. Berries should not be frozen twice, as the nutrients will be destroyed when defrosting again.

Kalina can be frozen immediately in bags at temperatures from 18 to 23 degrees below zero. The shelf life of the product with shock freezing is 8-12 months. At a temperature of -8 ... 0 degrees, viburnum is stored for 2-4 months. Frozen berries can be added to tea, used in jellies and pie fillings.

Before cooking, the viburnum is washed and left in a colander to glass the water.

The juice is prepared according to the usual recipe:

  • the cake is boiled for ten minutes and filtered;
  • juice, sugar are added to the broth and heated at a temperature of +85 degrees.

Hot juice is poured into sterilized jars and rolled up. It is diluted with water before use.

Cooking method:

Contraindications to treatment with folk remedies based on viburnum:

  • hypotension;
  • increased acidity of the stomach;
  • acute kidney disease;
  • varicose veins;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • increased blood clotting;
  • individual sensitivity.

The harm of red tart berries is noted during pregnancy. The use of infusions and juice increases the tone of the walls of the uterus, which can lead to premature birth. An increase in hemoglobin due to excessive enthusiasm for the red berry also negatively affects the development of the fetus. Kalina is contraindicated in breastfeeding due to the risk of allergies in the infant.
